Hop House Kimchi
This Korean and Japanese gem has been a secret to many for a long time, but with more and more awards decorating the walls it seems most food lovers in the city are now wise to this spot. Tucked away on Parnell Street, this unassuming restaurant has been suggested to us many times and thankfully as I was passing yesterday I popped in for a quick lunch.

Host Restaurant Menu 2020
Host Restaurant
Host is like a chink of a much more cosmopolitan city shining through the suburban Dublin village of Ranelagh. They follow the winning neighbourhood formula of sharing plates, natural wine and sharply dressed staff, but the handmade pasta and general vibe that your wish is their command tip it over the edge. A Host in every neighbourhood would do much to alleviate the stresses of modern life.

This lack of pretension underpins chef Martijn Kajuiter’s awardwinning Irish cuisine and the way he sources the maximum possible amount of produce grown on Irish land and fished from Irish seas. Yet his exploratory, confident style results in explosively interesting dishes combining modern progressive and straightforward Irish cooking.
Menus change as regularly as the team’s explorations, with Kitchen Chefs Stephen Hayes and Darren Mulvihill helping to ensure standards are always high. Stephen has recently returned to The Cliff House Hotel after almost two years at the three Michelin star Dutch restaurant, De Librije. Darren is originally from Limerick and worked at the 5 star Doonbeg Resort before joining the team at Cliff House Hotel in 2012 and working his way

Inis Meain Restaurant & Suites
It's one thing growing your own vegetables. It's another thing bringing the soil to grow them over to the island by boat and mulching it with seaweed in winter to keep your patch of precious fertility flourishing on a windswept rock. Inish Meain is a magical island, and this is a restaurant that does it enormous justice, serving food grown just outside the window or fished from a spot you can see on the extraordinary vista of ocean as you dine.
