Abstract

I explored the integration of Microsoft Whiteboard into my lectures to enhance classroom interaction. Traditionally, class discussions have been limited by several factors: some students tend to remain quiet due to shyness, language barriers, or simply preferring not to speak in front of peers, while others may hesitate to share ideas in large groups. Recognising these challenges, I sought a digital solution that could democratise participation and capture diverse perspectives in real time. Microsoft Whiteboard, with its collaborative and flexible interface, emerged as an ideal tool to facilitate this shift. Its simple design let students post responses when they were ready, so they did not feel pressured to speak right away. This initiative was implemented in a series of lectures focused on brainstorming and idea exchange, aiming to create a more inclusive and engaging learning environment.
