FADE investigates the implications of the digital turn for arts festivals in rural Ireland asking: have they the necessary capacity to avail of the opportunities that digital technologies undoubtedly offer for cultural production and dissemination? And how can existing and planned cultural and digital infrastructures, including the National Broadband Plan’s Broadband Connection Points, support rural arts festivals and their needs into the future. The project is led by Dr Bernadette Quinn and Dr Brian Vaughan and is funded under the Irish Research Council Coalesce scheme.
