Abstract
Vivaldi's opus 10 consists of six concerti for flute and orchestra. Number 1, La Tempesta di Mare is a fine example of Vivaldi's programmatic writing as he paints a picture of wild seas and swirling winds.
The piece is performed by Julie Maisel (flute), John Herne (bassoon), David O'Doherty (violin), Orla Mulrey (violin), Ailbhe Nic Oireachtaigh (viola), Andrew Robinson (bass viol) and Rachel Factor (harpsichord)
