Abstract

This track comes from an anonymous English song dating from at least the sixteenth century. The melody was used by several composers, including John Taverner, and the text by composers such as Stravinsky. There is a theory that the melody may be an internal voice in a multi-part piece, now lost.

Performed by Alan Grundy (viheula) and David Francis Moore (voice)
