This book is a companion piece to “Walking through the Rising”, an account of the military actions of the 1st Battalion of the Irish Volunteers in Dublin’s North inner city in 1916. In the spirit of that account this document has the aim of making available to the staff and students of the Technological University Dublin (TUDublin) some of the more important incidents that took place in the vicinity of GrangeGorman, Bolton Street and Cathal Brugha Street (formerly part of TUDublin) during the War of Independence and the Civil War.
